It will become clear that Aidan had a suspicion that this was going to occur. This attack will nearly kill the two of them. He will become odd and distant from his mother and when she drives him home from the fair a deer will repeatedly attack the car.
While at the county fair, he will take pictures of himself that will have a burred Samara standing directly behind him. While at home Aidan will develop hypothermia and his body will become covered in bruises. He will be pulled into the screen by Samara when the video starts. Aidan will then have a dream that has him going to the television when Rachel is not home. She will then take the tape out into the woods where she will burn it. She will persuade the girl to tell her about what happened and to demand that she tell her where the tape is. When she sees this she will go to the police station where she will talk to the girl who was present when the boy died. When she finds the boy’s body, she also has vision of Samara grabbing ahold of her and declaring “I found you”. Rachel will investigate it to find that the boy will have that same horrified look on his face of the previous victims of the Samara Morgan’s infamous famed tape. Before too much longer there will be a homicide in the town of a local teenager. Six months following the events that took place in The Ring, Rachel and her son have moved up the coast to a quiet community where she will begin a new job at a newspaper.
